英國中學教育制度

英國教育系統分為小學及中學。 
小學是 4 或 5 歲開始，中學是 11 歲到 16 歲，通常是完成 GCSE 的課程，之後若要繼續升學的學生可以再唸 2 年 A  Level 的課程，進而申請進入大學

英國中學的科目

小學通常是依據政府規定的課程，學生年齡愈大，選擇的科目是遞減的，而選擇因為可以依據學校提供的科目，自已選喜歡的課程來讀。

2 年級 ~9 年級主要的科目：

　英文、數學、自然、戲劇、設計和科技、電腦、外國語、地理、歷史、音樂、體育

10 年級 ~11 年級： GCSE 提供 9 個科目

　主要科目：英文、數學、自然、外國語、科技
　可選修的科目：藝術與設計、商業、拉丁文、希臘文、戲劇、經濟、法語、德語、俄語、西班牙語、地理、歷史、資訊、音樂、運動科學、宗教學、體育

12 年級： A Level 的課程

　可由以下科目選擇 4 個科目 
　藝術和設計、生物、商學、化學、拉丁文和希臘文、設計和科技、戲劇、經濟、英國文學、法語、地理、德文、歷史、資訊、數學、音樂、體育、物理、俄文、宗教學、運動科學、西班牙語。

13 年級： A Level 的課程

　學生可以從 12 年級的課程選 3-4 科 
備註：不是所有學校都提供所有課程

英國的考試方式和在學成績

學校通常每學期舉行一次考試及每學期提供一次成績， GCSE 及 A  Level 的考試，每年大約在 5-6 月舉行， 8 月中發表成績。 
而結果有可能結合學校的期末考及年度的學習成果。 

英國中學的行事曆

　9 月第一週或第二週開學， 6 月底或 7 月初結業 
　每年分為三學期， 9 月 ~12 月、 1 月 ~4 月、 4 月 ~7 月 
　在復活節及聖誕節各有 2 星期假期 
　在每學期中，學校大概會放假 7-10 天
